Over the course of the day, Nintendad published three reviews for Atelier games from the Dusk trilogy pack. One of my favorite games of 2019 was Nelke & the Legendary Alchemists ~Ateliers of the New World~ which unites familiar faces over scores of games together. Not simply cameos where you meet them, but the ability to recruit them to your cause and make them a part of your new team. Early titles in the trilogy packs feature heroines and heroes that make an appearance in subsequent games. The Atelier franchise embraces the worlds and characters that come before. Looking at other role-playing franchises with a large volume of entries, there is often little that ties them together save for universal ideas. I enjoyed the approach of building a trilogy out of the various releases. I have long been a fan of JRPG’s and was drawn to the Atelier series back in the olden times of the PS Vita.
